- Offer to keep a copy of your immigrant friend’s important documents
Document an Interaction
- Make a video recording of the interaction.
- Be silent and do NOT interfere, but you do have the right to make the recording.
- Film openly, not trying to hide it.
- Try to include the officers’ names and badge numbers and show the location where the interaction is occurring.
- Don’t reveal ANY information about your immigrant friend. You are not required to speak.
Be Available
Be available to go along with an immigrant friend to an ICE check-in or to an immigration hearing.
Provide General Support
- Pray. Attend a prayer vigil. Organize a prayer vigil.
- Contact government officials, especially local ones.
- Provide love, hospitality, food, clothing, toiletries and fellowship.
